Totally's Vocare secures a number of contract extensions

Out-of-hospital services provider Totally has secured a number of contract extensions through its wholly-owned urgent care services subsidiary Vocare, it announced on Thursday.
The AIM-traded firm said the extensions were worth a total of £4.1m.

It said Vocare would continue to provide urgent care services to the NHS Sunderland clinical commissioning group via Bunny Hill, Washington and Houghton urgent care centres, where each contract was extended for a further seven months to 31 March next year, for a total value of £2.1m.

Vocare would also continue to provide urgent care services to the NHS East Leicestershire clinical commissioning group, through the East Leicestershire and Rutland urgent care centres.

That contract was extended for a further 12 months to 31 March next year, to the value of £1.8m.

Finally, Vocare would continue to provide out-of-hours dental triage services for the North of Tyne and Tees.

Those two contracts were each extended by a further 12 months, for a combined value of £0.18m.

"We are very pleased to announce that Vocare has been retained as the provider for all of the above contracts," said Totally CEO Wendy Lawrence.

"The extension of these contracts demonstrates the commissioners' continued confidence in Vocare's service delivery in a number of regions across the UK.

"These contracts are in line with the company's objective of progressing our close working relationships with commissioners, providing a high-quality service to all patients and establishing a contract base within the Vocare subsidiary that provides both high revenue visibility and acceptable returns to the group."
