Ten Lifestyle adds tech chief to assist with global expansion

Technology-enabled lifestyle and travel platform Ten Lifestyle Group on Friday appointed Francesco de Marchis to the new role of global chief technology officer, effective from September.
The AIM-traded company said de Marchis, who has more than two decades of experience in technology and engineering, will lead the expansion of the company platform across all regions, whilst focusing on increased functionality, customisation, and personalisation.

"I am excited to be joining such an incredible company where technology and innovation are at the core of their strategy. More importantly, I have been impressed by the senior leadership team, their expertise, and their dedication to achieve excellence for their customers," said de Marchis.

He will join Ten Lifestyle Group from Jac Travel where, as group chief technology officer, he was responsible for the company's IT and digital strategy, supporting 600 employees worldwide.

Other previous roles have been with Play.com, Orbitz and Oracle.

Ten Lifestyle Group said the appointment is in line with their commitment to invest in and develop its technology platforms, and that de Marchis will report directly to chief executive Alex Cheatle.

"We are launching our digital technology around the world as a central part of our strategy to achieve this goal. It's already available in three continents, across multiple categories, brands, languages and currencies. We plan to continue to innovate and refine our offering to consumers and corporates," said Cheatle.
