Strix's business Aqua Optima filters out competition with Boots contract

Kettle safety control company Strix Group announced on Friday that its home water filter business has won a contract with UK high street colossus Boots.
Under the terms of the contract, Strix's will supply five of its core Aqua Optima water filter products to 1,000 stores across the UK and Ireland, securing comprehensive nationwide distribution.

Nigel Wheeler, director of the Aqua Optima subsidiary, said: "We are delighted to supply our products to 1,000 Boots stores across the UK and Ireland supports our ambition to become the leading water filtration brand in the UK."

The products included include the Evolve Water Filter, the Aqua Optima Oria Water Jug with Evolve Water Filter and the Aqua Optima Universal Replacement Water Filter.

"The introduction of the Aqua Optima brand further challenges the market leading brands and will allow Boots to offer their customers a wider and more cost effective range of quality water filtration products," said Wheeler.

Aqua Optima aims to develop products which work quickly, reliably and consistently to reduce impurities in tap water, as well as enhance the taste and reduce limescale causing sediment.

As of 0833 GMT, Strix Group's shares were up 2.58% at 135.00p.
