ProPhotonix confirms Ed Dolan is new finance chief

High-technology designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems and laser diode modules ProPhotonix announced the appointment of Edward Dolan as its chief financial officer - a non-board position - with immediate effect.
The AIM-traded firm said Dolan was joining the company from AC Lordi, a private equity-backed professional services firm, and previously held positions at Nypro, Yankee Candle Corporation - where he acted as director of accounting with responsibility for all activities of the accounting group - and 3COM Corporation, where Dolan managed the corporate accounting group.

It said Dolan is a certified public accountant, and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers earlier in his career.

Phil Feeley, who acted as the company's corporate controller and then its chief financial officer for more than 12 years, was retiring at the end of May, the board confirmed.

Until then, he would carry out an "orderly handover" of his responsibilities.

"We are pleased to welcome Edward to ProPhotonix at an exciting time for the company," said ProPhotonix president and CEO Tim Losik.

"Ed brings a wealth of experience and talent and I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to grow our business.

"Phil has made a significant contribution to the company over the past 12 years and, on behalf of the board, I would like to thank him for his dedication and commitment to the company and wish him the very best in his retirement."
