Highbridge Multi-Strategy Fund appoints hedge fund expert as non-executive director

(WebFG News) - Guernsey domiciled investment company Highbridge Multi-Strategy Fund announced the appointment of a new non-executive director on Friday.
Paul Le Plage, director of Man Group subsidiaries FRM Investment Management Limited, Man Fund Management Guernsey Limited and Man Group Japan Limited, will take up the job from 1 May.

Le Plage is also currently the audit committee chairman for UK Mortgages Limited and Bluefield Solar Income Fund Limited.

According to Highbridge, Le Plage is experienced in managing hedge funds and has held prior directorships at Cazenove Absolute Equity Limited and Thames River Multi Hedge PCC Limited, where in both cases he was also the audit committee chairman.

Vic Holmes, chairman of Highbridge Multi-Strategy Fund, said: "The board of Highbridge Multi-Strategy Fund Limited is delighted that Mr Paul Le Page has agreed to become a director of the company. His extensive experience of risk management within the hedge fund sector equips him be a valuable addition to the board."

In other board news from the AIM traded company, Paul Meader is anticipated to retire as senior independent director in the final quarter of 2018, a role he has held since 2006.

As of 1431 BST, Highbridge Multi-Strategy Fund's shares were down 0.90% at 220.00p.
