Former Bush administration member Chellaraj to retire from RhythmOne directorship

Advertising engagement firm RhythmOne on Tuesday confirmed that non-executive director Raj Chellaraj will retire from his role at the annual general meeting held on 13 July.
Harvard graduate Chellaraj, who has served on the board of AIM traded company RhythmOne since 2015, is associate dean for finance and administration at Stanford Business School, and has held a number of senior positions in a storied career.

Eric Singer, chairman of RhythmOne, said: "We thank Raj for his contribution to the RhythmOne board. Raj has been on the board since 2014, and has served on several committees and provided valued insight during his tenure. We wish him every success in his future endeavors."

Under the Bush Administration Chellaraj joined the United States environmental protection agency as program advisor before moving on to the agency for international development.

President Bush then nominated him for the assistant secretary of state for which he was unanimously confirmed by the US Senate in 2006.

After leaving the US government following President Barack Obama's election, Chellaraj became vice president of planning at Hostess Brands, famous for their 'Twinkie' snack cakes.

As of 1431 BST, RhythmOne's shares were down 5.73% at 181.00p.
