Amryt Pharma signs Eastern European distribution deal

Speciality pharmaceutical company Amryt Pharma has signed an exclusive agreement with Bucharest-based services firm Romastru Trading for the distribution of its cholesterol treatment Lojuxta throughout Bulgaria and Romania.
The deal with Romastru, part of the Pharaon Healthcare Europe conglomerate, is the fourth such agreement signed by Amryt in the last three months as the company aims to broaden its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.

Amryt also announced its intention to complete further agreements for Lojuxta, its treatment for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH), throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa as the year progressed.

Chief executive officer Joe Wiley said: "We are pleased to have signed this agreement with Romastru, a long-established pharmaceutical services company based in Bucharest. Romastru's reach across Romania and Bulgaria means that we can now provide comprehensive access to Lojuxta for adult patients suffering from HoFH in these territories."
