Gaming Realms shuffles board after change in strategy

Real money and social mobile games developer Gaming Realms announced on Tuesday that executive chairman Michael Buckley is to become non-executive chairman effective from 1 July.
The AIM-traded company said the change is a result of its stability improving following the alteration of its focus around core activities, the development of the company's game licensing business disposal of a number of non-core assets.

Michael Buckley has been executive chairman of a number of companies including Cashcade, Pacific Media and SelecTv.

Furthermore, board members Atul Bali and Chris Bell have both informed the board that they are not standing for re-election at the company's upcoming annual general meeting due to professional commitments.

Patrick Southon, chief executive of Gaming Realms, said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to sincerely thank Atul and Chris for their hard work and valued contributions to the company during their time and wish them well in their future endeavours."

Following the changes, the company will have a balance of three executive and three non-executive directors.

As of 0900 BST, Gaming Realms' shares were up 2.27% at 7.63p.
