TomCo Energy's investee secures contractor for Utah project

TomCo Energy announced on Thursday that its investee company TurboShale is engaging Himes Drilling Company Inc (HDCI) as its drilling contractor for the company's upcoming field test programme
AIM -raded oil shale exploration and development company TomCo Energy, which holds an 80% interest in TurboShale, said that HDCI will be responsible for preparing the test site, drilling the four bore holes and installing the well heads at the project in Holliday block, Utah.

In addition to its other commitments, HDCI is also expected to provide storage and logistics support for the field test, and will assist in the supply of site accommodation and power generators.

Representatives of TomCo Energy recently travelled to Utah and met the governor of Utah's energy advisor and her team, our landlord SITLA, the department of oil gas and mining, the department of environmental quality and USGS Utah.

John Potter, chief executive of TomCo Energy, said: "Building upon the contacts previously developed by Andrew it was clear that we have a lot of support for the development of our TurboShale technology. We were also able to meet with Himes and this further strengthened my confidence in the success of our forthcoming field test."

As of 1116 BST, TomCo Energy's shares were up 0.62% at 6.54p.
