Papua Mining lands experienced non-executive director

Papua Mining announced on Wednesday that it has added "measurable corporate strength" after appointing Gordon Hart as non-executive director of the company, effective immediately.
The AIM-traded company said that Hart has 35 years of experience in the equity capital and financial advisory markets, having spent 12 years as managing director of Venture Group Equities Pty. Ltd where he advised on transactions involving over $300m of funding.

David Price, chief executive of Papua Mining, said: "Mr Hart is highly experienced in leading growth-oriented companies and his principle responsibility will be to help lead Papua Mining into the future as we build value through our organic development strategy for our projects in Queensland. I am delighted to work alongside Gordon, who I know will add significant and measurable corporate strength".

Hart is an alumni of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Papua said his expertise in emerging resource and technology companies will be "invaluable" in moving the company forward.

Gordon Hart, director of Papua Mining, said: "I am delighted to take on the position of director of Papua Mining and look forward to working with David and his team to bring value to the shareholders of the company."

As of 0938 BST, Papua Mining's shares were down 3.03% at 0.80p.
