Osirium Technologies adds support for Microsoft Azure

Cyber-security software-as-a-service provider Osirium Technologies announced support for the Microsoft Azure cloud platform on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded company said its privileged access management (PAM) solution, the PxM Platform, could now be hosted in - and manage - Azure Virtual Machines.

It said that would enable organisations to maintain secure PAM solutions both in the cloud via Azure, and within a hybrid environment.

Osirium said it was hosted in the Azure marketplace using a bring-your-own-licence model.

The Osirium PxM Platform was available as an out-of-the-box solution, which the company said would be ready to manage a variety of Azure virtual machines due to it unique 'template' approach.

Such templates were available for existing virtual machines, but could also be customised, with new templates created for in-house systems and applications.

Osirium also supported MAP Server being run in Azure.

"The security space, and the threats within it, evolve at an incredible pace," said Osirium chief executive David Guyatt.

"GDPR is just months away now and the new regulations outlined within it will be of concern for many organisations."

Guyatt said the extent of reputational damage from a security breach was impossible to predict, or put a price against.

"We have worked hard to establish a leading-edge technology in the market, and expanding the group's capabilities to support Azure is an important step forward in our product roadmap.

"With 20% of the market, Azure is the second largest public cloud operator and extends Osirium's market reach accordingly."
