OptiBiotix Health signs distribution agreement for weight loss solution
(WebFG News) - OptiBiotix Health said on Tuesday that it has signed a non-exclusive UK distribution agreement for its SlimBiome weight management technology with Cambridge Commodities Limited (CCL).
CCL is a prominent distributor of nutritional ingredients to the sports, health & wellbeing, animal nutrition and food & beverage industries, and has 10 sales offices covering the UK, Europe, the United States and South Africa.
Stephen O'Hara, chief executive of OptiBiotix, said: "We are pleased to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with CCL. We chose them due to their leading market position and expertise in commercialising value added speciality ingredients like SlimBiome to sports, health & wellbeing industries and major UK retailers."
SlimBiome, a combination of natural ingredients designed to help with hunger-free weight loss, will be purchased from OptiBiotix and distributed by CCL.
According to OptiBiotix, the new agreement expands on and complements the deal that OptiBiotix signed with Knighton Food, who specialise in supplying supermarkets and high street coffee chains, in November.
"This agreement is another step in our low cost approach to growing revenues by building manufacturing, formulation/application and distribution partnerships which provide revenues across the whole value chain in multiple industry sectors," said O'Hara.
As of 0911 BST, OptiBiotix Health's shares were down 1.68% at 58.50p.
