London stocks rose in early trade on Thursday, taking their cue from a solid session on Wall Street, as investors shrugged off tariff uncertainty.
LONDON MARKET OPEN: FTSE 100 and DAX 40 power to record highs
The FTSE 100 index surged 85.47 points, 1.0%, to 8,952.49, a new record high. The FTSE 250 was up 48.45 points, 0.2%, at 21,616.31, and the AIM All-Share was up 0.77 of a point, 0.1%, at 771.20.
