Herencia hunting for new board member after non-executive chairman resigns

Wednesday saw the resignation of Herencia Resources's non-executive chairman Peter Reeve, who will step down from his role with immediate effect.
Reeve is stepping down from his role at the AIM-traded multi-commodity resources firm after being appointed almost exactly one year ago, on 21 June 2017, when he replaced outgoing chairman John Moore, the former Australian minister for defence.

Reeve is an industry veteran, with a career spanning more than three decades, having held professional metallurgist at Rio Tinto, Shell-Billiton and Newcrest Mining, as well as co-founding Ivanhoe Australia.

Following Reeve's exit from the company, newly appointed non-executive director Carl Dumbrell will now take on the role of acting non-executive chairman.

"Jeff (Williams - executive director) and Carl recognise the importance of good corporate governance practice for companies quoted on AIM and accordingly will be seeking to appoint an additional non-executive director as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided in due course," said a statement from Herencia Resources.

As of 1138 BST, Herencia Resources' shares were down 3.25% at 0.04p.
