Frontier Developments' new Jurassic World game set for June release

Videogame developer Frontier Developments is set to launch Jurassic World Evolution alongside the release of the franchise's next film and the opening of a major industry trade show on 12 June.
The game, which will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, has been created in collaboration with Universal Pictures and is now available for digital pre-order on all platforms with exclusive content available for gamers who order early.

David Braben, chief executive of Frontier Developments, said: "This year's E3 Expo coincides with the launch of the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom film and it provides a perfect opportunity to invite videogame and movie fans at E3 and around the globe to build their own Jurassic World."

Players will enjoy the voice talents of Jeff Goldblum, who reprises his role of Ian Malcolm in the game, and can take control of operations at the franchise's iconic setting of Isla Nublar, constructing their own park, bioengineering new breeds of dinosaur and building new attractions and facilities.

Jonny Watts, chief creative officer at Frontier Developments, said: "Twenty-five years ago Jurassic Park brought dinosaurs to life in a way movie fans had never dreamed possible. We're proud to celebrate the entire Jurassic franchise at E3 with a game that touches every corner of the rich Jurassic history and truly brings these awe-inspiring dinosaurs to life on PC and console."

Frontier developments has a wealth of experience working on similar park simulation videogames having previously worked on titles such as RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, Zoo Tycoon and Planet Coaster.

As of 0828 BST, Frontier Developments' shares were up 2.18% at 1343.70p.
