Director dealings: Polymetal director ups stake
Marina Grönberg, non-executive director of precious metals miner Polymetal International, picked up 16,189 ordinary shares in the firm at an average price of 642.60p each.
Grönberg, who also serves as chief executive officer of A&NN, spent a total of £104,031 on the purchase.
Back in March, Polymetal signed a binding agreement to sell its stake in the Dolinnoye gold project in Kazakhstan to JSC AK Altynalmas.
The FTSE 250-listed firm, along with Dolfinflip, which held a 50% stake in Dolinnoye, agreed to transfer their respective 50% interests in Aktogai Mys, the licence and contract holder for Dolinnoye, to Altynalmas.
Polymetal told investors that the consideration receivable by each of the sellers would be equal to 50% of $33.5m, subject to certain working capital adjustments.
Like some of its peers, the company's shares had come under pressure recently, falling below their 200-day moving average despite gold futures on COMEX that were trading near their best level in five years.
As of 1510 BST, shares had picked up 1.14% to 640.40p.
