Director dealings: Marshalls directors lower stakes
Martyn Coffey, chief executive officer of natural stone and concrete hard landscaping product manufacturer Marshalls, disposed of 87,151 ordinary shares in the West Yorkshire-based group on Tuesday.
Coffey offloaded the shares with a price tag of 452.20p attached to each one, collecting a total of £394,096.81 in the process.
However, Coffey wasn't the only Marshalls insider to sell shares in the firm on Tuesday, as finance director Jack Clarke also lowered his stake. In his case, letting go of 50,112 ordinary shares at 452.20p, picking up £226,606.46 as a result.
Both sales were listed as a "vesting of share options" under the group's 2014 management incentive plan.
Marshalls posted an 8% increase in revenue to £430.2m when turning in its annual report card last week. The stronger inflow helped boost both EBITDA and operating profits forward 12% to £67.9m and £53.4m, respectively.
"Good progress has been made in the year executing the 2020 Strategy, notably the acquisition of CPM, and the ongoing self-help programme to drive organic growth is progressing well. The underlying drivers have remained positive in our main end markets and our sales and order intake have been strong in the first 2 months of 2018," said Coffey on 14 March.
Earnings per share moved ahead 14% to 21.52p.
As of 1500 GMT, shares had inched forward 0.28% to 436.20p.
