DX gives Hornby's David Mulligan finance chief job

Delivery solutions provider DX announced the appointment of David Mulligan, FCA, to the board of directors as its chief financial officer, with effect from 9 April on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm said James Hayward - its interim CFO since July last year - would remain with DX for a period in order to complete an orderly handover.

DX said Mulligan would bring more than 20 years of experience in senior financial positions in a number of listed companies.

He was most recently CFO at Hornby, where he was involved in delivering the restructuring and turnaround of the business.

The major part of his career was at Morgan Sindall Group - the construction and regeneration group - which he joined in 1997.

Mulligan became CFO in 2004, a position he held until his departure in 2013.

He was also divisional finance director at Renewi - formerly Shanks Group - the international waste management business.

Mulligan qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1995.

"I am pleased to announce David's appointment as CFO," said DX chairman Ron Series.

"He has an impressive track record of working with companies undergoing change, and will be a valuable asset as we progress our plans to revitalise DX and place the business on a sound footing for long term growth."
