Cronin Group lands first 'pioneer' deal for DigitalGlassware programme

Digital chemical solutions firm Cronin Group has signed a full evaluation agreement with an unnamed international life science reagent and chemicals manufacturer.
The agreement with the manufacturer, one of two companies with which Cronin entered into a memorandum of understanding in February, is the first of Cronin's DigitalGlassware pioneer programme.

DigitalGlassware is a software interface which collects, stores and processes data from chemical experimentation allowing for real time data analysis.

Cronin said it had "identified a select number of leading companies and institutions" involved in the field of chemistry to participate in its pioneer programme.

"The purpose of the programme is to trial the company's technology with the full range of target users, allowing the Company to observe its performance in different operating environments and locations worldwide."

Pioneer companies will assess the performance of the platform to allow for further development as Cronin seeks to improve the technology's ability to help in discovering and enabling new synthetic routes and chemical entities.

As of 1021 BST, Cronin Group's shares were up 7.50% at 2.15p.
