Concepta lands distributor deal for Chinese Android app stores

Concepta has signed an agreement for the distribution of its new myLotus app in China.
Beijing Jiayou, under if AppInChina brand, will distribute the app through the top five Chinese Android app stores, which have a combined market share of 75.7% in China, in conjunction with the app's current presence on the Chinese iOS app store, which has a 13% market share.

The free myLotus app allows women to monitor and track fertility.

Erik Henau, chief executive of Concepta, said: "The myLotus app is an extremely useful resource for women trying to conceive. Not only is it effective as a stand-alone resource, but in conjunction with our myLotus meter, it is a powerful tool to allow women with unexplained infertility to conceive naturally."

The myLotus meter, which can be used in conjunction with the app, quantifies personal hormone levels which allows for the identification of the fertile period for a large number of women, which is especially helpful for women whose hCG and LH levels differ from average levels.

Last week Concepta promoted David Darrock as a director of Concepta Diagnostics, having brought deep experience in managing Chinese supply chains. Darrock will head the supply chain management process to ensure volume requirements will be met as the company scales up its operations.

As of 1031 GMT, Concepta's shares were down 1.57% to 6.25p.
