888 Holdings appeals German court decision

888 Holdings updated the market on its ongoing litigation in Germany on Monday, having previously reported that one of its subsidiaries was the subject of a ruling on appeal by the German Federal Administrative Court, which upheld an order prohibiting the provision of online gaming services in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
The FTSE 250 company said that, after consulting with legal counsel, the subsidiary has filed a constitutional complaint with the German Federal Constitutional Court in which it asserted its position that the ruling of the German Federal Administrative Court infringed its constitutional rights.

It also claimed that its rights under EU law, including the freedom to provide services, had been infringed upon, and hence should be reversed.

"The company will continue to closely monitor the legal and regulatory developments in Germany and their implications on the status and of its offerings in this market."
