Tern's Device Authority launches security platform on SaaS model

Tern Plc's portfolio company Device Authority launched its new software as a service model for its internet of things security platform KeyScaler.
IoT security business Device Authority, of which Tern owns a near-57% stake, said KeyScaler is designed for a number of service providers and manufacturers to deliver security and access management solutions after being connected through application programme interfacing, which allows faster integration with KeyScaler functionality.

The software provides customers with updates and allows partners to leverage their own branded portal and benefit from integrated support, reduced infrastructure costs and avoid the use of development and operations resources.

AIM-quoted Tern, an investment company focused on internet-of-things applications, said a number of DA's partners are already integrating the software in order to provide higher levels of device and data security.

Al Sisto, chief executive of Tern, said: "The launch of a SaaS delivery model is the next step in Device Authority's go to market evolution. KSaaS provides a frictionless method for their partners to provide customers with an easy to adopt commercial offering to sell to their clients. It is a great demonstration of how DA is continuing to develop its technology to meet the needs of the large and growing IoT market."

As of 0902 BST, Tern Plc's shares were 10.65% up at 40.11p.
