Omega Diagnostics inks distribution agreement with IDS
(WebFG News) - Omega Diagnostics has signed a global distribution agreement with fellow AIM-quoted outfit Immunodiagnostic Systems for its Allersys range of allergy assays.
Omega's long-term supply agreement with IDS has the Scottish group poised to launch its initial panel of 51 allergy tests on the market.
Omega, which is primarily focused on allergies, food intolerance and infectious diseases, will continue to develop new assays to provide regular updates to the IDS instrument menu to increase its competitiveness and offer a broader range of tests.
Colin King, Omega's chief executive, said, "I am pleased that we have finally concluded a deal with IDS to become our exclusive distributor for our Allersys product range."
"Whilst we expect modest sales growth in the short term as we work together to further expand our menu, we are excited that with our development capability and IDS instrument and commercial expertise we can make a significant difference within the Allergy testing market," he added.
As of 0830 BST, shares had jumped 8.00% to 9.45p.
