Corero locks in multiple orders in an 'unprecedented month' of trading

Real-time, high-performance DDoS defense solutions provider Corero Network Security secured several customer orders over the course of March, collecting $1.2m of revenue in the process.
Corero locked in a $300,000 order for its SmartWall Threat Defense technology with a cloud-based web development customer, as well as a $200,000 order with a digital enterprise customer, a $200,000 follow-on order with a UK government customer and a $500,000 customer support renewal with an an unnamed client.

The wins included a previously announced customer order which had been delayed into 2018.

Andrew Lloyd, Corero's president, said, "March 2018 has been an unprecedented month for the global DDoS sector with the record for the largest reported attack having been broken twice. We are seeing zero tolerance for service downtime due to cyber-attacks from many digital enterprises and the operators of essential services for critical national infrastructures and are delighted that our customers continue to recognise that SmartWall delivers real-time protection from DDoS cyber-attacks."

"Our service provider customers are at the sharp end of these attacks and continue to face ever increasing service level demands from their customers. Our recent new contracts and renewal success further validates the effectiveness of SmartWall and our customers' ongoing satisfaction with our SecureWatch service," he added.
